Wat maakt dat organisaties met een duidelijke strategie, talentvolle mensen en goeddoordachte processen tegen weerkerende problemen aanlopen? Hoe komt het dat hardwerkende leiders en professionelen de organisatie vaak niet meekrijgen in veranderingsprocessen? Wat leidt ertoe dat bepaalde rollen in de organisatie telkens opnieuw moeten ingevuld worden? Waarom heerst er nog vaak een nostalgie naar het verleden?

Wat al deze en andere organisatievraagstukken gemeenschappelijk hebben, is dat:

  • vaak enkel de symptomen bestreden worden, en de onderliggende oorzaken en dynamieken niet gezien, herkend en daarom dus ook niet aangepakt worden.
  • er aan de oppervlakte de wil en energie om te veranderen en verbeteren is, maar dat een onzichtbare onderstroom de veranderingen tegenhoudt of tegenwerkt.
  • de dynamieken in een organisatiesysteem vaak sterker zijn dan de goeie wil van individuele leiders of hardwerkende teams.

Door met 'systemische intelligentie' naar organisaties en teams te kijken wordt een onderscheid gemaakt tussen de symptomen en de echte onderliggende systemische dynamieken. Organisaties zijn namelijk complexe en levende systemen, waar een groot deel van de verhoudingen en interconnecties onzichtbaar is. 

Hoewel we denken alles in processen te kunnen gieten, reageert het organisatiesysteem vaak anders op onze interventies, dan we voorzien hadden. Waardoor gedetailleerde implementatieplannen, veranderings-programma's of Six Sigma verbeteringen niet de gewenste resultaten bereiken. 

In deze introductie tot 'Systemische Intelligentie' overloopt change manager Mieke Jacobs de basisprincipes van systeemdenken, en reikt een nieuwe lens aan om te kijken naar je eigen team, organisatie, of voor sommigen naar een ander systeem waar je deel van uitmaakt (je familiesysteem, een sportclub, een vrijwilligersorganisatie). Op een interactieve manier gaat ze aan de slag met eigen vragen van de deelnemers om te ontdekken wat er nu echt aan de hand is.

Deze activiteit is gratis voor ie-net-leden (35€ voor niet-leden). Inschrijven is verplicht.

Over de gastspreker

Based in Belgium, Europe, Mieke Jacobs has more than 20 years of industrial experience, including regional and global roles in managing operations, supply chain, HR and large change management in Fortune 100 company DuPont and has been involved in several of the strategic shifts within the company, including the entrance into new industries through Mergers & Acquisitions. She led the operational excellence and transformational change program in the EMEA region, for 4 years, resulting in significant financial value generation and a fundamental mindset shift in the entire organization. 

As of 2014 she has been a global leader in DuPont’s consulting business. She travelled the world, acting as a strategic advisor and thought leader to industry leading global and international companies in multiple industries, such as O&G, chemicals, manufacturing, utilities, distribution, fast moving consumer goods, food industry. Her work is focused on strategic change journeys, focused on value protection and value creation, including multidimensional performance management, visible authentic leadership and employee engagement. 

At the end of 2016, she left DuPont to focus entirely on executive coaching, executive team facilitation and widening and deepening her thought leadership and expertise in organizational constellations and systemic intelligence. As organizations are living systems in a dynamic environment, her executive coaching is addressing the critical role of leaders to drive the change, navigate in complexity and engage the hearts and minds of the entire organization.  

She has a passion for people and organizational dynamics, and has acquired additional skills and certifications in the area of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Personal Mastery, Coaching, Systems Thinking, Constellation Work, Neuroscience and Affective Psychology, Somatics and Trauma Therapy and is applying all these insights in her facilitation and transformation work with leaders, teams and organizations. 

She is a thought leader, authored several articles and white papers  and has been a passionate key note speaker in conferences across the globe. Her talent for writing has resulted in her first book -a novel based on systemic work- published in February 2017. The second one -co-authored with Paul Zonneveld- is focused on the challenge of the cultural integration and business performance of Mergers & Acquisitions – EMERGENT, The Power of Systemic Intelligence to Navigate the Complexity of M&A - and was published in December 2019. She holds a masters degree in Economics/Engineering from the University of Leuven in Belgium and the University of Bilbao in Spain. She is fluent in 5 languages (Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish).
